Check out Storksky @ Pinkpop 2016 Aftermovie.

After 6 years Kill Ferelli has decided to quit.
"Doing so was one of the hardest decisions ever. We felt it was time to move on and persue other things. Whether it be playing in new bands or try new challenges outside of music."

In collaboration with Intro In Situ, Jesse Passenier and the LBM, Nirvana's Nevermind will be performed fully together with Storksky.

I feel very proud of this moment we shared within Storksky yesterday at Pinkpop.
A special thanks to Michiel Claessen and especially Mario Goossens for making this happen!

I'm exited to announce that I'm the new drummer of the band The Mad Trist.
Here is the official press release (in Dutch):

The Mad Trist vindt nieuwe drummer

The Mad Trist is weer op volle sterkte met de komst van drummer Roy Moonen. Moonen was eerder actief als drummer van o.a. Born From Pain.

This month the 26th of March we will play our first show with Kill Ferelli @ Azijnfabriek, Roermond. We will rock the stage with our friends from Sparrow Falls a.o.

I'm part of the jury for the Dutch band contest "Jonge Helden 2011". The winner of this contest will win free studio recordings and will be part of an international tour.

Upcoming weekend I will play a show with Chili Con Fusion at Snowevent in Austria. Mashup madness!

This month we release our "Demolicious EP" with Kill Ferelli.

Named after the illustrious inventor of the detector for metal fatigue on long stretches of iron-composite, the Kendo Bahn Orchestra was founded. Coming from different backgrounds, the two members of the Kendo Bahn Orchestra excel in combining the sheer speed of metal, the limitlessness of free floating improvisations and a vast selection of electronic and digital processed sounds. The Kendo Bahn Orchestra is a shared project where an emerging drummer, already played at a range of international stages in different bands, meet an electro-experimentalist, profiling internationally in sonic arts. A language in sound and composition is being invented live in front of the audience, but always is energetic, dynamic and a bit frantic. Perhaps not the best answer to counter the everyday stress of an e-industrialized and globalized life, maybe even more chaos is added, but for sure the Kendo Bahn Orchestra will supply you a maximum surplus of dysfunctional energy.

Check out the "video" section.

New Projects:

Kendo Bahn Orchestra (Experimental Electro Noise)
Paul Devens: Electronics
Roy Moonen: Drums

The Count (Fusion)
Virgil Rerimassie: Chapman Stick / Bass
Stijn Friederichs: Saxophone / Ewi
Roy Moonen: Drums

More info soon.

Today we did some drumrecordings for the new upcoming Viberider full length album which will be released in early 2010.
Their new songs are really great and my new Zildjian cymbals sound awesome on the recordings.
Check the "gear" section for more details about my setup.

I recently had a meeting with Hoshino Benelux and I'm proud to announce as of now I'll be endorsing the following brands:

Tama drums
Zildjian cymbals
Evans drumheads

I'm very excited to play with these brands.
Tama is the first brand I started out with, so I'm very happy to endorse them.
Zildjian and Evans I'm equally happy to be working with because I've respected these brands for a long time.
From personal experience I know all of these brands to sound great and that they are road worthy and durable.

Today we recorded the drums for a coversong from a german band called "Slime" for their upcoming tribute cd at the NRG recording studio in Viersen. This cd also features bands like Die Toten Hosen and Kreator.

And check out this old interview I did in 2007 with 3voor12.

There is an article in the "Slagwerkkrant" Jan-Feb 2009 in which I'm featured. So if you are interested, check it out.
Thanks to Stef Broks.
